AJ Chase was born to military parents in the ugliest time for fashion, the 1970’s. She followed her globe-trotting parental units from Louisiana to Germany and all sorts of places in between. Having had her fill of moving, AJ tried to settle down and find a permanent home. She did this by marrying military. It didn’t work very well.
AJ has two small children, a boy and a girl. Her husband is now a government drone who is good at everything, but she loves him anyway. Together they live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A colorful and deserty town, full of art and angry democrats.
AJ learned to read at three-years-old and has never looked back. She and her husband used their time before having children buying and reading books and breaking in horizontal surfaces. Now she gets a lot less of both but still enjoys a good book and the occasional conjugal visit. In her spare time, because she has tons, AJ writes dark and gritty romantic suspense with just the tiniest hint of humor. Under other names she also writes YA, series mysteries, category romance and romantic comedy.
AJ was a musical theater major until she realized she wanted to make enough money to both eat and pay rent. But she still has a deep and abiding love for all things stage related, especially singing and dance. Her favorites were tap and ballroom dance but she still loves to watch a good breaker, though she could never do it herself.
On the average day, AJ can be found making mac and cheese, yelling at her kids not to hurt each other and making notes on the best way to kill someone without leaving a lot of evidence.
